Hida-shi is located in the northernmost tip of Gifu and it has fresh air and beautiful meltwater. In Hida, people start making sake using new rice from November. When you walk around the town, there hung a good scent of sake. Then in December, the new sake is completed and sugitama which are hung on each cellar are also changed to new green one as a sign of new sake.
There are many variety of sake such as the one which won the first prize of sake sector at IWC, or sparkling like wine. Why don’t you look for your favorite one? You can enjoy free samples of sake at each cellar.
