Hotel Bosenkan

Founded in 1818, Hotel Bosenkan is well-known for its magnificent Japanese garden, whose 1100 square metre expanse gives visitors a profound sense of the ever changing four seasons.
The hotel’s open-air bath (about 20 tatami mats in size) allows customers to experience the famous spa waters whilst listening to the therapeutic flow of the nearby river.
The hotel also prides itself on its high-quality cuisine, with all ingredients being carefully selected by the head chef before being served ‘banquet style’ (the traditional Japanese way of serving set dishes on individual trays for guests to enjoy).
Its spacious Japanese-style guest rooms are equipped with futons for an authentic relaxation experience, as well as western style toilets and bathtubs. WIFI is available on the first floor lobby. Use of the open-air bath is subject to reservation, and is charged at 2160JPY per room, for 45 minutes’ private use (bookings operate on a first come, first served basis).
With so many different aspects of Japanese culture in a single location, Bosenkan is ideal for those who wish to experience ‘the full works’ of Japanese culture – whilst enjoying a pleasant, relaxing break.
