Yamada bugyo is one of the officials of the Edo Shogunate and was responsible for proteching and repairing the Ise Shrine and festivals, control of Shoguya, Monzencho, litigation of Ise and Shima and security and ship inspection of Toba Port . In 1845, the Yamada magistrate office, which was almost completely burned, was restored a part of its public part such as a study room, Hakushu etc. based on the drawing "Newly-created Kobayashi office drawing" when it was drawn in 1846.
