The Ruins of Sendai Castle is a popular tourist spot from which you can look over the city of Sendai and, on a clear day, right out to the Pacific Ocean.
In 2003 it was recognized as a Japanese historical site.
Within the premises stands the symbolic Equestrian Statue of Masamune Date.
You’ll be able to see some rare historical objects in the museum and the CG theater where you’ll be able to see a reproduction of the original castle is fascinating.
Please visit the Miyagi Prefecture Gokoku Shrine. Although it was once burnt down, it has been restored to it’s original state through great trouble.
