Adachi Museum of Art exhibits masterpieces of modern Japanese painting. Among its collection are works by the genre's most representative painter, Yokoyama Taikan.
A total of 120 Yokoyama Taikan works are featured in the collection, although the exhibitions are altered four times each year.
Moreover, following the museum founder’s notion that “the garden too is a painting”, the museum grounds consist of a 50,000 ‘tsubo’ (one tusbo = 3.31 square metres) traditional Japanese garden - selected thirteen consecutive years as the most beautiful garden in Japan.
Consequently, visitors from all over come to enjoy both the impressive art collection and garden alike.
