April 29, 2016 - The sightseeing train "Medetai train" has begun service on the Nankai-kada line running the northwest of Wakayama prefecture. The vehicle decorated with the “bream” representative seafood of Kada region is characterized by a vivid pink body and big eyes outside and fish shaped straps and seats with bream patterned inside. It also hides a heart pattern which makes you happy. From Osaka to Kada, it takes about 60 minutes from Namba station to Wakayama city station by Nankai train, and then about 25 minutes to Kada station by “Medetai train.” In Kada, there are cuisines of rich seafood such as bream, and tourist spots like “Awashima shrine” which is famous for Hina-Nagashi (in which people float paper dolls down rivers late on the afternoon of March 3rd), a desert island “Tomogashima islands” which is popular by rich nature and its site of a battery and ammunition depot built over 120 years ago. Take the “Medetai train” to Kada!
