"On December 1st 2016, as a part of ""Yama Hoko Yatai Gyoji"" (series of 33 Festivals from 18 prefectures) Karatsu Kunch has officially become an intangible cultural heritage of Japan!
Karatsu Kunchi is annually celebrated from 2nd to 4th of November to celebrate the fall harvest.
14 floats, created and preserved by each town will be paraded around Karatsu for three days.
Every year visitors gather from far and wide to witness this festival.
