Ukai is a fishing method using cormorants to catch fish such as Ayu etc.

There are 12 places to conduct Ukai Cormorant Fishing in Japan. We are the only one to offer the “Imperial Cormorant Fishing Master Experience”. ※Reservation is required.

The venue is Isawa Onsen, about 30 minutes by car from Mt. Fuji and the town has more than 30 hot spring inns.
You can see it free of charge from Fuefukigawa riverside, about 5 minutes by car or about 15 minutes on foot from Isawa Onsen accommodation area.
If you stay at Isawa Onsen, please come to the riverside wearing the Yukata nighty and enjoy the Japanese traditional culture!

◆Period: Every Wed, Thu, Sat, and Sundays between July 20 (Thu) to August 19 (Sat).
※ It may be cancelled if raining.

◆Time: 8:00 pm to 8:50 pm

◆Venue: Fuefukigawa Riverside, the Fuefuki City Hall
※About 5 minutes by car or about 15 minutes on foot from Ishiwa Onsen accommodation area
※About 30 minutes by car from Mt. Fuji

After the cormorant fishing, the fireworks will decorate the summer sky between 8:50 to 9pm each night. It is just 10 minutes but worth seeing and enjoying together with watching the cormorant fishing!
