The 1.7 hectares of Aramaki Rose Garden will soon be filled with the scent of over 10,000 roses of 250 different species as they come into bloom. In the ‘Local Rose Corner’ you can see world famous species originating in Itami, such as ‘Amatsu-Otome’ and ‘Madame Violet’, and the garden also has an area celebrating Itami’s links with its international sister city, Hasselt in Belgium. The gardens are at their most beautiful in mid May – mid June, and mid October – mid November. To the south of the park is the ‘Green Plaza’, where courses and exhibitions on gardening and botany are held.
