Taking place in Tenjin, Fukuoka City (in the square outside the city hall building), Kurume Festival is a combination of Kurume’s delicious local food and traditional arts and crafts. The aptly titled ‘gourmet zone’ boasts a smorgasbord of mouth-watering food, ranging from local Kurume-style roasting and sake, to much -loved yakitori and tonkotsu ramen. The festival’s ‘marche zone’ is a hub of agricultural products and crafts, and the ‘kids’ zone' features hands-on toys and play equipment.
