The natural hot spring located at the highest altitude in Japan "Mikurigaike Onsen" celebrated its 60th anniversary this year. On November 3rd, they had a cerebration event collaborated with the outdoor brand "mont-bell".

Checked in "Mikurigaike Onsen" at around 3pm on the day, had a hot spring before the event, it healed my tension warmly with the spectacular view of Dainichi mountain range from the large window. Mikurigaike Onsen is at an altitude of 2,410 meters, about 15 minutes from Murodo Station of Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route on foot. The source is in Jigokudani (valley), no water added, not heated up, there are separate baths for each gender. They offer the bath for not only staying guests but also for day-trippers.

The sun gradually settled across the mountain at about 4:45pm, the fantastic sunset couldn’t stop me from taking pictures. A lecture "Track ~Dream and Adventure~" by the CEO of mont-bell, Tatsuo Isamu, started at 5pm. We listened to his valuable experience, had a delicious dinner, the whole event ended happily with the beautiful sound of his flute playing.

Mikurigaike Onsen is open until the last overnight stay on November 25 this year. If you are interested, please check Mikurigaike Onsen homepage http: //www.mikuri.com/
