Fuefuki City has established April 10th as "Fuefukui Tōgenkyō (peach blossom land) Day", accredited by the Japan Anniversary Association. April 10th is the 100th day from January 1st. The hundred in Kanji character is also read “momo” pronounced the same as peach, and 10th is pronounced tōka the same way as peach blossom.
The area where they cultivate peaches is Japan’s largest and the peach blooms around April 10th every year. The whole area of Fuefuki City turns into pink colour and becomes just like the scenery of "Tōgenkyō".
Come and take a walk on the pink carpet of peach blossoms while viewing the remaining white snow in the Southern Alps and the superb blue sky.
