Date and Time: February 11th 2018 (Sun), 10:00 – 16:00
Place: Shirayuki Chojugura Brewery Village and surrounding area
The Shirayuki Brewery Festival is back for the 21st year! This is an annual event held in winter in and around Chojugura Brewery Village, where visitors can learn about the history of Japan’s oldest sake brand, Konishi Brewing Company’s Shirayuki – and of course enjoy some of their delicious products.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Konishi Brewing Company’s first imports of Belgian beer, and the 150th anniversary of the founding of Hyogo Prefecture. The perfect opportunity to say kampai with a glass of Itami sake!
This year, two sake barrel opening ceremonies are planned (10:00 and 13:00), with the sake being shared among visitors. 150 guests will be able to receive a masu wooden sake cup as a gift. Also planned are performances of historical sake brewing work songs (11:00, 14:00), a talk on sake brewing, food stalls, and of course opportunities to taste and purchase Konishi’s wide range of products, including chilled and warm sake, craft beer, imported Belgian beer, and limited editions.
Itami Wasshoi Winter Cheer Dance Festival will be held to coincide with the Brewery Festival, with performances taking place from 10:00 – 16:00 in Sangendermae Plaza and at Chojugura Brewery Village.
