Every year in the month running up to Hina Matsuri, or Girls’ Day, Itami city holds an exhibition of traditional Hina dolls in the historical setting of the Former Okada Residence.
Dolls from the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa periods are displayed side by side, as well as antique examples of traditional Japanese games like sugoroku (traditional board game) and karuta (Japanese playing cards).
