The new year’s spring brew will soon be ready at sake breweries in the Tanoshimaru and Kitano areas.
In Tanoshimaru, as well as Japanese sake, cellars storing shochu (a grain-based spirit), wine and soy sauce will be opening for the first time this year.
Rare, limited edition sake & beverages will also be available to both taste and purchase!

In Kitano, the Nishitetsu Amagi railway line is offering a ‘kura-no-hosomichi’ (‘cellar stroll’) ticket - holders of which are freely able get on and off the train at three stations close to neighbouring sake cellars. An event celebrating the 200 year anniversary of local sake brewing will also be taking place at the same time.
