Many cherry blossoms such as Yoshino cherry trees were planted in Kuroiso park and Nakagawa Riverside Park alongside the river at the former Kuroiso area of Nasushiobara City and became a popular cherry blossom spot in the prefecture.
Especially, at the village of Katakuri on the northern side of the Kuroiso park, Katakuri flowers (dog tooth violet) fully bloom at the same time as cherry blossoms.
