This is a tranquil resort inn with a Japanese garden surrounded by the nature of Unzen about 20,000 square meters. There are 14 villas and each of them has a unique design following the simple but elegant sukiya tea house style of architecture.
Please fulfil your journey at our resort with a hot spring from Unzen and Japanese cuisine of local seasonal ingredients.
Our 14 guestrooms are located separately from each other and built by carpenters specialized in temple and shrine construction from Kyoto for about 2 years. 12 buildings of the 14 have two stories, and 2 are one storey. The size of each is offering a spacious luxurious space of about 250 square meters of two-story buildings and about 304 square meters of one storey buildings.
There are two facilities, "Higashi-no-yu" and "Nishi-no-yu", each equipped with an inner bath, an open-air bath, a sauna with a water bath. (Open between 3pm to 10am following day)
One of them can be reserved for 90 minutes for family use. (no extra charge, reservation is required upon arrival)
Kaiseki cuisine changes monthly using ingredients from mountain and local seafood of Shimabara Peninsula. Every detail such as the selection of bowls and utensils, presentation etc. are well planned and we serve you one dish at the time in your own room. Please enjoy the seasonal feeling of Japan from viewing the garden and tasting our meals at the ground floor of the guest room.
