This is a special bus tour for a limited season to go through Nita Pass of Mt. Fugen in Unzen City which is normally closed at night.
Unzen area, including Mt. Fugen, was designated as the first national park in 1934, and the road is closed at night for nature conservation purposes. The tours started in 2016 and offers the special night to go through Nita Pass where no one could enter before.
From Nita Pass using a ropeway up to the Myokendake Station at an altitude of 1,300m, you can see the starry sky and the night view of the Shimabara Peninsula from the highest peak of the prefecture. You can enjoy Miyama Kirishima (Azalea) lit up in Spring, cool air 5 degrees lower than the base of the mountain in Summer, and autumn leaves among the illumination in Autumn.

Duration: October 25 (Thu) to November 3 (Sat) in 2018 for 10 days
