The Gomen-nahari line is the Tosa Kuroshio Railway’s most recently established line, running parallel to the magnificent blue of the Pacific Ocean.
Stretching 42.7km across 20 stations along the east coast of Kochi, in the Tosa area the azure expanse of the Pacific Ocean spreads out beautifully before passengers from the trains’ numerous large windows.
In places along the route where ocean views are not visible, the line still boasts lush, scenic mountain landscapes that take on varying aspects from station to station.
And what’s more, in true Japanese ‘kawaii’ vein, 3D characters created by Takashi Yanase (the creator of the mega-hit children’s series ‘Anpanman’) are in place to welcome you at each station!
