"Kurume Azalea" is a flower of Kurume city as a symbol of this city and people love the flower all over Japan. These are great spots of “azalea” which is the best season between mid-April to the end of May.

● Kurume Forest Azalea Park
Great spot of azalea and autumn leaves in Mt. Kora. About 100 different types of 61,000 Kurume Azalea in total are planted. The view of Chikugo Plain with the azalea flowers is exceptional.

● Sekai Tsutsuji Centre
This facility is known as having the most varieties of azalea in Japan to preserve and cultivate azaleas collected from all over the world. There are approximately 1,600 different types of 21,000 azaleas from all over the world.

● Kurume 100 Years Park
This is a great spot with about 120,000 azaleas blooming all over. There will be "Kurume Azalea Festival" from April 5 to May 5.
