As for sightseeing, The Pine-clad Islands of Matsushima is counted as one of the Three Views of Japan. The 260 or so small Pine-clad Isles can be enjoyed by taking a cruise aboard the sightseeing boat.

Apart from that, in Matsushima, there are many temples such as Godaido, Zuiganji and Entsuji. These historical constructions were built by successive lords of Sendai, amongst them the famed Date Masamune.

The Zao Heartland is another source of attraction where tourists can enjoy 100㎡ of farmland to touch and feel animals as well as a crater lake called "Okama" which has 5 variety of colours depending on the sunlight.

Additionally, you will enjoy a range of hot springs, Matsushima Hot Springs, Aone Hot Springs and Naruko Hot Springs to name but a few.
