This shrine is dedicated to a Japanese soldier, Nogi Maresuke and surrounded by a tranquil atmosphere.
There is a “treasure hall” in the premises and shows weapons and daily commodities used by Nogi Maresuke. You can feel the atmosphere of the Meiji and Taisho era.
There is also "Nogi’s Villa" which was set up to do agriculture in Nasu. A pond called "Shizunuma" made of a rice field is a resting place for waterfowls.
The whole area is surrounded by natural forest from years ago. Please come and spend a quiet time away from your daily life.
