Spanning approximately 10,000 ‘tsubo’ (a Japanese unit of land measurement – one ‘tsubo’ being equivalent to 3.31 square metres), a variety of beautiful and aromatic herbs and flowering plants can be enjoyed in the Herb & Rose garden throughout the year.
The garden comprises familiar herbs, including chamomile, geranium, lemon grass, mint, etc., as well as some more rarely seen specimens.
The garden’s tulips come into bloom in the spring, roses & lavender in the summer, cosmos in autumn and cyclamen & tropical orchids in the winter.
20 parking spaces for buses are available. Access to the garden’s alkaline hot spring foot baths is also free of charge.
